Zeugma

I like zeugmas. They are sentences with a twist that’s curled around the verb, and they are fun to create.

I’m writing a few of them below. I know, they are very amateurish; I’m still practicing. 🙂

They climbed all the way to the summit of Everest and to the sky.

This robot cleans carpets and credit cards.

In the winter, I try to refrain from meeting people and viruses.

The food was delicious but the waiter was entirely too salty.

The author buttered his story and his bread.

When John pushed Mary in the water, she held her breath and anger.

Our dog gobbles treats and belly-rubs.
